You Minus Abuse = A Better You - Original Poem

Scratch away the past,
Claw into the ones who hurt you,
Shy away from his touch,
And move forward a better you.
Do not let his touch ruin life,
Vengeance is not the solution for you,
Instead show him you are better,
Stronger and proud now - a better you.
Grow from the abuse,
Show those who are like you,
There is still hope for them,
Because they can now look up to you.
You minus the abuse,
That would equal a better you,
Someone to say,
"He will no longer hurt you!"
